Getting Nailed

I like the nailhead trim look, I do. I just haven't ever given it a try myself. Because I'm afraid my OCDness wouldn't be able to handle it if I couldn't. get. every. single. nail. to. line. up. perfectly. I can foresee it ending badly, with me pulling out clumps of hair and rocking back and forth in the corner, weeping softly.
But oh. Oh my loveness, look at this. I've never considered a nailhead pattern before! So much more room for "creative flair" (and failure) than a straight line! From Joie Vivre from Kicsi Haz. Don't you love it?!

But if you think that would be easier on your OCD-ness, think again, babycakes!!! I know how my brain works and I'd be measuring every stinkin' nail placement to make sure they are the same on each side!! Notice the uneven circle at the top of the doors - that'd drive me nuts! HEY!! That's it!! I'd need a design template of dots and and do a pattern transfer to each door! Now I have to find a place to try this. A much, much smaller place......
I must be a little OCD too because the minute I saw the after picture I started to sweat. The next thought that popped into my head was, "IT'S BEDAZZLED!"

Totally cool. I love nailheads, and was inspired by Signed by Tina's nailhead designs several months ago, but you have brought it back into my mind. Now to figure out how I can incorporate them in my own home!
