Let it Snow
Dec 22, 2010
Anyhoo, here are some great white redos for you inspired by snowiness, everything from fresh and simple redos to heavily distressed. Did you know I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas is also the best selling single of all time? Just thought you would like another tidbit. Ok, here we go!

Cute white tables from Holly at Holly Do. Fun swirly details were made with a dremel, which I am afraid of after poking a hole through my fingernail with one, yikes.

Loulou put a ton of work into this one, see the whole story on her blog Life of Lou Lou.

And last but not least, Kim coaxed some character and shabby chicness out of these boring befores. See it on her blog Simple Needs.
UPDATE: Ok, I have been informed that this before is completely not the same as the after. Uhhh, you might think I would have caught that, but you'd have been wrong! Apparently, I've been hitting the eggnog a little hard and the before is a pic of a similar-ish nightstand, according to Kim. Carry on.

I love seeing the before & afters of furniture transformations! They're so inspiring. Love your site!
Happy Holidays!

Beautiful stuff! However, the last do-over, are you sure the pictures match? The after holds *no* resemblance to the before.. different *everything*. The only thing the same is that they have 2 drawers?
oh those first few just made me sigh with conenment - love them!
Also, I just check that last blog - they aren't actually the same nightstands. She didn't have a before picture so she found one that looked like hers. I still love the afters!
I love these transformations! especially the painted hutch!
Why does everything has to end up painted in white. Tacky, in my opinion. It doesn't respect the original wood texture or color.
I think the white is just beautiful and can give new life to outdated pieces that hold no particular sentiment. Great redos everyone!
Ok- so I follow your blog religiously, but I actually have a non-decorating question (that you probably don't have time for). My husband and I are probably going to be moving to Pheonix AZ soon. We know nothing about it, nothing about the areas. Do you have any advice on what cities to stay away from? What ones are good? And what do you know about the maricopa area? The houses there are so cheap! My email is squantogirl@gmail.com- or you can just leave a comment in my blog. I would love your advice!!!- amy
I'm so glad you wrote that update-I haven't been hitting the eggnog I just thought I was losing my mind! LOL! At this time of year that can happen.
Have a very merry Christmas!
Please look at my white DIY :)
