The rumors are true. Better After is hosting its first ever
Ugly Lamp Contest!
Do you have a horrible lamp in your possession? A truly tacky table lamp? A sickening chartreuse chandelier? A pukey pendant?
A light so grim, you would rather suffer in darkness than actually use it? Perhaps your grandmother passed it on to you, and despite her questionable taste, you've hung on to it for sentimental reasons. Perhaps it's a lamp your spouse adores and refuses to part with, unwilling to notice how it terrifies young children.
Well CSNstores.com and Better After would like to help! Simply send in an original photo of your horrid lamp to BetterAfter@live.com with the words "Ugly Lamp Contest" in the subject line.
I will post pictures of the ugly lamp contenders, and the winner as voted by Better After readers, will receive a $70 gift certificate to CSNstores.com to purchase the lamp of their dreams!
Deadline to get your pictures in is August 4th, 2010!

The last hairy lamp could be a beheaded character from the 1986 Labyrinth movie.
The wanna be Shroud of Turin is spooky as is the alien baby that got left behind.
I'm not against the saxophone lamp. Not my style but, if you previously played and have since retired, this is better than leaving the instrument in a case in the attic for ages. It does need a shade in proportion to the instrument.
Do you mean a lamp that sits on a table, or can it be a hangling lamp (or more accurately a....not sure what to call it) It hangs in an entryway, but is not a chandelier...or perhaps it is, but too ugly to be called chandelier....either case are we sticking to lamps on a table? Or hanging too?
Shroud of turin, ha! I think it is actually supposed to be bacon. I'm not sure which is worse...
Oh, I've definitely got one. I'm hiding it behind my study door until I figure out what to do with it, lol.
